THE LIMITLESS POTENTIAL, Yo Mike, just checked out your version of the Oscar noms. I completely agree that Drive did not get enough credit by the Academy, as with Shame. It’s a shame, really… I was wondering if you saw either The Artist or My Week With Marilyn and your opinions on them. I think Branagh did a phenomenal job in My Week With Marilyn and earned his respective nomination, though I also think Brooks was a great character in Drive. Anyways, you have good taste in film. Just wanted to drop by.

Thanks for the kind words Dan! I actually haven’t seen either The Artist or My Week With Marilyn, both of which I would like to see (The Artist is playing near me, so I’m sure I’ll catch it if I have a chance). I do love Kenneth Branagh and I’m sure his nomination is deserved, I just didn’t include him (or The Artist) in my list based on the fact that I haven’t seen them and can’t judge them fairly. There’s a vast majority of films nominated that I didn’t see; Drive and Tinker Tailor were my two favorite films from last year, thus me giving them both lots of love on my list.
